It's "green" in more ways than one.
The State Premier Solar Water Heating System can save money by taking energy from the sun. But it can also save money for homeowners because, through 2016, it is eligible for a Federal Tax Credit of 30% of the total installation cost.
In addition, it’s ENERGY STAR qualified. Many state and local utility rebates exist to promote the adoption of this new technology.
How it works.
1. Solar radiation heats a floor plate collector.
2. Thermal energy is passed to a heat transfer fluid.
3. Once heated, the liquid travels through tubes to the storage tank.
4. The heated liquid warms the cooler water in the storage tank directly or through a heat exchange.
5. A back-up energy source supplies supplemental heating.
The system comes complete with tank, pump station, solar collectors, automatic air vent, standard mounting hardware, roof flashing, thermostatic mixing valves, expansion tank with mounting kit, tank and collector sensors (includes 75 ft. lead free wire), and propylene glycol (Dow Frost HD). Copper plumbing and pipe installation not included.

Wall mounted with integrated controls. Includes integrated pump, controller, isolation valves, fill and drain valves, check valves, temperature gauges, solar loop pressure relief valves, flow meter and air stripper – all in an enclosed, insulated assembly.
